Coherent Action on Natural-socio-economic resources for Decent Livelihood project (CANDL-2):
TUS implemented the Coherent Action on Natural-socio-economic resources for Decent Livelihood project from August 01, 2013 to December 31, 2016 supported by Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF) and funded by FCDO covering Khagrachari Sadar and Panchari Upazilas. TUS carried out the key activities under this project were; Increase Agricultural Production and Agro-forestry (Formation, orientation, training & facilitate conduct of various IGA and Support for increased production of Banana, Betelnut, Mushroom Growing, Handloom and Handicrafts), Capacity enhancement of community groups (Meeting, Awareness Session, Workshops, Agro-food Processing training i.e. Banana chips, Pickles, Jam, Jelly and Entrepreneurship Development training), Enhance income generation activities by transferring technical skills and knowledge (Entrepreneurship development, Agro-business, Handicrafts, Hand loom, and Processing of Agro-products), Enrichment and restoration of NRM practices (Stream-side bamboo plantations, Stream Management), Market Linkage, and Rapport building with government line departments.

| Participants | 5000 (2500 male, 2500 female) CANDL works in poor communities which have a variety of natural resources available, but whose members have few employment opportunities. The project worked with individuals who have limited chances to earn incomes, such as youth and women. |
