The Second Chittagong Hill Tracts Rural Development Project (CHTRDP-II), implemented by Trinamul Unnayan Sangstha (TUS) in partnership with the Asian Development Bank and the Government of Bangladesh,  aimed to enhance the quality of life in the Chittagong Hill Tracts through improved rural infrastructure and sustainable natural resource management.  The project emphasized participatory planning, capacity building, and community-driven development initiatives, ensuring long-term resilience, poverty reduction, and improved access to basic services across Khagrachari District.

Community Action on Natural Resource Management for Decent Living (CANDL-1):

The Community Action on Natural Resource Management for Decent Living (CANDL-1) project, implemented by TUS with support from MJF and FCDO,  aimed to improve livelihoods by promoting sustainable natural resource management and local entrepreneurship in Khagrachari Sadar and Panchari Upazilas.  By enhancing community capacity, restoring ecological balance, and expanding market linkages,  the project empowered marginalized populations — particularly women and youth — to achieve more resilient and dignified livelihoods.

Coherent Action on Natural-socio-economic resources for Decent Livelihood project (CANDL-2):

The CANDL-2 project, implemented by TUS with support from MJF and funding from FCDO, aimed to strengthen resilient livelihoods in Khagrachari Sadar and Panchari Upazilas through agricultural improvement, income generation, and restoration of natural resource management practices. By training communities on agro-forestry, entrepreneurship, and market linkages, and fostering women and youth participation, the project enhanced local capacity for sustainable income and dignified living.
